8-10% of pregnant women, It is the second leading cause of maternal mortality worldwide, With preeclampsia, pregnant women might have high blood pressure, high levels of protein in urine (proteinuria) that indicate kidney damage, or other signs of organ damage. Preeclampsia usually begins after 20 weeks of pregnancy in women whose blood pressure had previously been in the standard range. before first clinical symptoms such as hypertension and proteinuria are seen.

First trimester (week 11- week 13+6 days) combined screening including Pregnancy associated plasma protein type A (PAAP-A) and Placental Growth Factor (PlGF) allows early detection of women at high risk for preterm pre-eclampsia and offers the possibility of prevention before first clinical symptoms such as hypertension and as hypertension and proteinuria are seen.

Routine hematology and coagulation testing is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Additionally, advanced hematological tests are a performed using a variety of techniques including flow cytometry and electrophoresis based methods and are available from Monday to Friday, 7 am – 5 pm.
